Budo Pilgrimage Japan is a private, guided journey into Japan’s living martial traditions, connecting you to the spirit of Budō through training, philosophy, history, and cultural immersion. Budo (武道), meaning “the Martial Way,” is the umbrella term for Japan’s traditional martial disciplines, including kendo, judo, aikido, karate, kyudo, and many others.

The program brings together a curated selection of privately guided and semi-private experiences, led by guides from different Japanese martial arts disciplines, offering deeper access to Japan’s martial and cultural traditions through multiple living practices.

The program focuses on the journey itself—private tours, unique experiences, and the immersive exploration of Japanese martial arts, with careful attention to the overall itinerary design. It does not include hotel bookings or luxury transportation arrangements, as the intention is not to profit from those services. In general, service standards in Japan are already exceptionally high, allowing us to focus entirely on curating a meaningful, well-designed travel experience dedicated to Japanese martial arts.
