Influencer Video Contest

We’re selecting 12 influencers/creators only to join an exclusive video collaboration campaign.

Each selected creator will publish one video in collaboration with us (as a collaborator post) by December 10, 2026 at 9 PM JST.

Cash prizes for the top 3

Grand Prize: 100,000 yen cash prize

2nd Place: 30,000 yen cash prize

3rd Place: 10,000 yen cash prize

The amounts will be paid via local bank transfer on the date specified below.

1. 10% Personalized Discount Code & 10% Affiliate Commission:

You earn 10% Sales Commission on Every Tour Booked Through Your Video.

We will offer you a personalized 10% discount code (to be sent by November 5, 2026) — named after your Instagram handle — that you can share with your followers in a post. They can use it at checkout when they’re ready to book any tour from our tour store.

You might also want to include a discount code in your video or post caption, but this is completely optional.

Here's how it works:

Your followers get 10% off any booking made using your code. You earn a 10% commission on the 90% of the tour price actually paid by the customer for every sale generated through your video, with no expiration. We’ll notify you via Instagram message whenever a sale is made through your referral, and your commission will be paid to you via bank transfer on the same day of the sale!

When orders come through on our website, we can track which discount code was used, so your commissions are easy to calculate and verify.

2. Ongoing Affiliate Partnership: All 12 Participating influencers are welcome to remain our affiliates after the contest, promoting our services using their provided discount code and earning a 10% commission on every sale generated through it.

3. Future Paid Collaborations: All 12 participating influencers will likely be considered for future paid video collaborations, as we’re looking to build long-term working relationships.

4. Priority Invitation to Future Contests: All 12 participating influencers will also receive a priority invitation to participate in our next video contest.

Creative/Theme

No creative limitations. The video can be short or long (no time constraint). The Languages used in the videos can be English, Mandarin Chinese, Korean, Arabic, or no language at all (non-verbal).

There’s no specific theme, and you're free to use any style you like(as long as it is respectable). That said, we do have a soft spot for videos that evoke elegance, serenity, and peace—qualities we believe people associate with Japan.

We would also love to see a walkthrough of a guided experience that mimics what our guides do on our private tours—something that could be recreated as a day out with some of your friends (optional, just our preference).

The purpose of these videos for us is to showcase what a private tour with us is actually like and give viewers a feel for the experience, or, if a tour scene isn’t possible, to create a sense of peace and tranquility that people can associate with Japan.

Ultimately, scoring is based on engagement metrics, so feel free to create whatever you believe will resonate most with your audience.

Note that the participating influencers (list at the end of this page) are micro-influencers, with audiences generally up to 150,000 followers. Each has been carefully selected for their potential to achieve top-performing content, based on some of their trending videos and the unpredictable nature of the algorithm.

The video you post and invite us to collaborate on will not be used in any other way, and we won’t ask you to send us the video file. Since the video will appear on our page as a collaboration, we may occasionally share it in our Instagram Stories.

Some influencers have asked whether they can join one of our private tours to capture content. This is possible! If you’re interested, we can send you a few upcoming tour opportunities that you could join for part of the experience. We would, of course, need to confirm with both the customer and the guide beforehand to make sure everyone is comfortable with the arrangement.

Posting Instructions

Collaboration Video Post: When you post your video, it’s important that you add us as a collaborator so that the post appears as a Collab post between you and Private Japan Tours. We will then accept the collaboration invitation, and the video will appear on our profile as well.
Brand Visibility: The Private Japan Tours logo must appear clearly within the first 3 seconds of the video, ideally integrated naturally into the opening without disrupting the viewer's experience (Please use our new logo, as shown in the upper-left corner of this page).

To help us reach more potential customers, please mention us clearly as a tour provider. Inviting us as a collaborator alone won’t be enough. Please include a brief introduction of our service, so that interested viewers can learn more about us.

Please refer to the “Influencer’s Package” button at the bottom of this page. You must use the logo as specified above, but the other images and videos included in the package are optional and may be used at your discretion.

How the Winner Is Chosen

We’ll calculate results using this simple, transparent formula:

Total Score = (Views × 0.01) + (Likes × 0.5) + (comments × 1) + (Shares × 2)

(Measured directly from your post during the date and time specified below in the Key Dates section.)

Saves are not included to keep things fair and trackable.

RESULTS

The results will be announced at the top of this page showing a ranked list of all 12 influencers with their total views, likes, shares, and final score—as counted on December 17, 2026 at 6 PM JST.

Winners will be contacted via Instagram message and/or email .

Transparency

As a collaborator, you’ll have access to all participating influencers’ video stats through our page, ensuring that results are fully transparent and visible to everyone involved.
