AIRPORT

PICKUP

SYSTEM

**Reminder:** Ensure you have JR passes and pocket WIFI (if ordered) and sign or outfit.

1. WAITING

Position yourself at the arrival area with a sign bearing the main passenger's name or wear a distinctive outfit (e.g., white pants and a blue shirt) and notify them about your choice. This will help customers identify you easily.

Check the airport board for the correct waiting gate (North or South, etc.).

Upon meeting the customers, offer them the option to rest, have coffee or water, or proceed with the journey.

2. MONEY EXCHANGE/WITHDRAWAL

Inquire if customers need to exchange money and guide them to the exchange booths at the airport, offering advice for better rates if possible.

Alternatively, assist them in finding an ATM for cash withdrawal.

3. WIFI

Provide tourists with their rental pocket WIFI (if they ordered that) or guide them to purchase a SIM card at the airport if they prefer this option.

4. JR COUNTER (FOR JR PASS HOLDERS)

If customers have purchased JR passes, take them to the JR counter to exchange their vouchers for passes. Make sure the passes are valid from the current date to the end date, depending on their purchased plan.

Additionally, make their first reservation for a long-distance JR train by specifying the departure and arrival date and time. Please note that the counter may have restrictions on the number of reservations, so make as many as possible based on the customer's trip.

If you can only make one or none, explain how they can make additional reservations themselves using the ticket machines. Provide them with this link for reference: https://japanrailpass.net/en/exchange.html

5. ICOCA OR ALTERNATIVE

Before boarding the train, introduce customers to the benefits of an ICOCA card (or Kanto alternatives) and assist them in purchasing one if they are interested. We typically advise them to load it with 5,000 yen and assist them with that matter.

Explain that the ICOCA card is usable all over Japan, rechargeable at any station, and can be used for trains, buses, and in all convenience stores.

6. TRANSFER

Choose the appropriate mode of transportation, such as JR for those with JR passes, or another suitable alternative based on convenience. Transfer customers to their hotel and escort them to the hotel lobby.

During the commute, suggest activities they can explore during the day or evening.

While not necessary, offering a local souvenir (from Daiso, for example) is a thoughtful gesture.
